Vibration
I just bought a 2006 f4i brand new i just got to the five hundred mile mark and took it on the highway to give it some hell. When I got up around six grand on the tach you can feel a real sharp vibration nothing that would cause driving problems but def. noticable and anoying. I pulled over and checked it while I was not moving and you can feel it at start to get noticable around six all the way throught after you pass that point. One of my buddies looked at it and said that it might have a miss. you can feel it all the way through the body, in the handle bars, the pegs, and the seat. It does it bad enought that it vibrates the mirrors at that speed so you cant really see through them. Any help would be great.
Yeah, these bikes do tend to have a vibration at higher speeds. My little 250 twin is actually smoother on the highway than my F4. But if you bought the bike brand new, take it back to the dealer and see what they say.
IDK...my f4i new was smooth as butter...even after 6K RPM...there was more vibration, but not to make the mirror shake as he stated.
but seriously, it's too hard to diagnose a vibration over the internet mang!
if you had a mis, etc. you'd get a light.

I've noticed that mine has always had some vibration to it, but recently (13k on odom.) it has been vibrating over 6k rpms to the point were it gets annoying. My right hand goes numb after 20-30 min. then my feet start to get it too!
Probably doesn't help that I put a 520 chain kit with-1 frt and +2 rear.

There's a certain roughness that comes in around 6-7k rpm in any gearbutit smoothens out above that range and is real sweet. However, this does not cause the mirrors to vibrate as mentioned above. Get another rider to test it out and/orgo back the dealer
