Being new to CBR 1000s, (I have an 05), I have been researching a bit. I keep seeing photos of 04 through 07 generation bikes with much different swingarms than my 05 Reppie has. I have the one with a "hole" in both sides that you can see the tire through. Some of them I have seen have a much different arm with a small hoop brace on the top. What gives? Different markets, perhaps?

 

The swingarms on the cbr 100rr from 04-07 were the same. Can you show any pics of what your talking about?
