you dont need a newer swingarm to fit a wider rim on the bike. the one you currently have is the same internal (inside swingarm leg to inside swingarm leg) measurement as the newer cbr1000f's, 900rr, 1100xx, etc.
do a search through my posts, look for the one that starts "this is where i" and go to my website. read how i installed the 5.5" rear rim... fits perfectly, and i am now running a 190 section rear tire...
but to answer your question.... i am pretty sure it will bolt directly up, you will probably need to get the brake parts from the donor bike though...

If you are just going for a wider rim/tyre you can keep your '87 swingarm. i got advice from Hurricane1000 when i did mine. '93 front and back rims, new wider rubber on both and did the bearings since i had the wheels off, i love the result in looks and handling, see pic...
