Question A question about brakeing

ok...so i got in a wreck about a month ago just now almost over it....my front brake lever is broke however, that's not the problem....when i got back on my bike for the first time...it would pull and not hold at all...after pumping it for a while it started to harden up but its still not fully working, how can i fix this? and it has brand new brake fluid.

You have air in the lines, most likely. Air compresses, brake fluid doesn't, thus spongy brakes. There are a couple of good pictorals on bleeding the air from the system on this forum. Search in the 'how-to' and general tech forums.

Hope this helps, Ern

Yep sounds like air in the system, or the master cylinder got damaged. Try bleeding first.

Automotive brake fluid is what is used in bikes too. (Not sure if it's DOT 4 or 5 though.)

It most likely wasn't the crash that got the air in the lines but on the repair. You said you get a new brake line? Whoever installed that probably didn't bleed the system properly

If the bike lays on it's side, air can get past the diaphram on the master cylinder and into the lines.
