My favorite part about the whole thing is the "new for 2011". They changed the flywheel mass, gave it a new license plate holder and put on a different muffler tip........ holy crap Honda!!!!! way to pull out all of the stops. I don't even think they should have new advertisements. There should just be a black screen with a big white letters saying.." see previous year model"..

 

The CBR1K won the shoot out it '08 & '09 and barely lost to the BMW S1000RR in 2010. I don't think they were expecting Kawi to redesign such an animal and new that to beat the BMW it would need a lot of R&D which mean a lot of money. Remember when the models were running for two year spans with little tweaks and then getting completely revamped from the floor up? With this economic climate everyone is in right now these manufacturers can't afford that amount of money every few years. That is why we are seeing every four years now. Plus with the CBR1K being the bike to beat no need to change anything just yet when there is not much competition. I am looking forward to when the Big 4 plus BMW, Augusta and Duc are all very similar because that is when we will see Honda come out with a bigger more badazz panty dropper!
