Guys..the stator problem for CBR 1000 RR in Singapore is so bad!! So many bikes got their coils burnt after juz a few mths riding it..
Here is a link to a thread in Singaporebike forum where CBR 1000 RR owners vent their anger..I'm one of them! Actually I'm upset with juz the stator..everthing else is very good!!

In SIngapore..Its like a plague!! haha..CBR1K burining their coils out..

Maybe its where the bike is manufacture from..maybe diff assembly line have diff suppliers?? I understand there are a number of assembly plants where CBR1K came from..

 

yes.. cos a lot of Singaporeans have Net access and a lot of Singaporeans are bikers!!

A friend of mine went the the states recently and he noted that while in california where he spent some time on the highway travelling..he saw only 1 bike on the highway!!

Here in S'pore..on the highway, left..rite..front..rear..you can see bikes from all make and model.

Dats why..in Singapore the market for tires are huge and where the competitions are hot..I can get dirt cheap tires compared to prices in the States..

err..not too sure either. I have been toying with the idea of shipping the tires to the states but none is concrete yet thou..

For an instance..SuperCorsa Pro tires 120F 190R cost US$375 max here in S'pore. I believe it costs somewhere ard US$500 at a discounted price in the states or maybe even higher..

Not too sure if the cost of shipping inclusive is worth the trouble importing the tires urself..If you're keen maybe I'll check it out for ya.

I could even list in e-bay for the sale of SuperCorsa Pros if its worth the savings for you guys!! hmm..that will be interesting..

i like what you're saying but the market for race tires is not as competitive as the market for street tires owing to economies of scale
how about pricing on michelin pilot powers or pirelli diablo corsas or dunlop qualifiers or dunlop sportmax gp ?
