I second chainstretcher on that being as though my wife is an insurance agent. Don't tell them unless they ask.

i never tell my insurance company anyway. even if the points go on, they never check. but they wont be there because im going to traffic school. i have been driving a little more sane though. something jsut isnt the same though. i dont know what to do. i think i might sell the nice looking repsol, get a junky looking 1000, and go to the track more.

Give it time -- never make a decision when you're on cloud 9 or when you're in the dumps. Ya always seem to regret it when you get back to normal.

As far as i know in sc we still have a mercy rule. All traffic points are turned into insurance, but your first 2 point ticket doesnt count. After that, it does. Thats not to say the insurance companies always find out, but thats the way it's supposed to work here. Back to the original post though, why spend 8 hours in a traffic school for license points if you're not in danger of losing your license?

I feel your pain shiny... today i came around a corner here in longwood florida and i never got out of first gear as the cop in the middle of the street was pulling me over. 50 in a 30. He was a bike cop so he was cool with me. he gave me a citation for failure to comply with a traffic control device so i didnt have to pay the speeding fine. the points will still be there though. The traffic school is good choice since it takes away everything and your insurance cannot go up if you take the course. Dont sell the bike... i had bad thoughts about it too, but I only got caught once and i have deserved a ticket in any of my vehicles so many times that its like its there to help keep you honest. A week or two from now you will be back on one wheel

thanks for the uplifting. im getting over it. im just wondering how im going to pay the bills when i first get out of the military. ill find a way though. i went for a few rides yesterday. found some turns and had some fun. my friend picked up the speed a little, but i just watched from a distance. its getting colder so there arent as many riders out lately, but there are holiday shopping finatics all over the place already, watch out!

your lucky myfirst ticket was for 400 bucks And i was doing 93 in a 65 but my second ticket was the same speed same limit and i just got my paymet requested and it was only 200 bucks I mean what the **** I go for 7 years with no tickets then my first one is rediculous?? I guess its their way of catching up with me for all the times they think i broke the law.

Cops have lost my respect I know that there are good ones out there but right now I really think that they abuse their power in small town like mine.

Yeah dude you got off light, i posted this in the 600rr forum already, but in Oklahoma, you would have been arrested, bike impounded, have to take drivers safety coures and lost your license, oh and have to pay the "f"in state to get your property back... I know b/c i got busted in my civic at about the same speed 101 in a 50 and they fried me dude!
