What is everyones average running temp? Idle temp? while my bike is in motion on an average day it runs at about 180 on average but when it idles it can get up to 230 or a little more should i get this checked out cause it seems pretty HOT to me.

from what i understand sport bikes run hot.

Your idle temp sounds about right. Your fan should kick in around 216-220 so you may see 230 but it shouldnt stay there long.

well i have seen it get as high as 237 and that just seems a bit too much

I work in Degrees C, whats that equivelant? Mine run at around 80-90 C during spring time, has run at 95-100 C on one long journey during last summer without injury. i`ve never seen it higher than 110C. yours sounds about right when did it run upto 237?

those numbers are the same as my bike, I am just wondering what it will be like in june.

Mine runs around 180 moving, and it gets hot in traffic, but I don't worry about it. As long as it's not puking coolant all over the ground, it's not overheating. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
