RE: radar detectors on bikes?
Don't have a radar detector but I have put a cigarette lighter plug on my bike to recharge my phone and I also use my GPS when on road trips. I got the plug from one of the auto part stores for like 3 bucks. It is stored under my passenger seat. I mount my GPS on the inside of my windscreen and run the power cable from the charger up to the unit. Hadn't had any problems.

RE: radar detectors on bikes?
I tried mounting a radar detector on my bike, but there was no place at all where I found it useful. I bought a Bel Express Cordless, which is battery operated and has an ear piece that goes into my helmet. It has a deflector plate that captures the radar signal from my front pocket. It works okay for keeping the price around $100

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-x8PgfLy...sp?i=036SOLOS2get this. no wiring. just attach. not using the bike put it in your car. i would get to sets of the round sticky caps for both vehicles just so you dont have to keep marking up your window. you can get the solo s2 on ebay for alot cheaper then crutchfield. this is the way i am going. i have to much wiring in my bike already to add more. hope this helps

RE: radar detectors on bikes?
oh yeah to answer the question if your radar detector has the long wire then the cigarette lighert. just cut off the cigarette and install the wire into a constant flowing fuse such as lights or i think horn. anything think that is all way on when the bike is on. put the other wire to ground. and your done. i have the same setup on my truck. that way the cigarette lighter can be used for other things. hope this helps
