HEY EVERYONE, IM NEW TO THE SITE, I JUST RECENTLY SWITCHED OVER FROM A GSXR TO A CBR, I CURRENTLY HAVE A 07 CBR1000RR WITH A YOSHI EXHAUST.K&N,PCIII,AND A CUSTOM DYNO TUNE. BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM NOW, I HAVE PUT OVER 1500 MILES ON THE BIKE WITH THESE MODS WITHOUT A PROBLEM AND I WAS RIDING TODAY AS NORMAL WITH NO PROBLEMS AND WHILE CRUISING IN 6TH GEAR THE BIKE STARTED BURBLING LIKE IT WAS CHOKING AND THE F1 LIGHT CAME ON AND KILLED THE BIKE IMMEDIATLY, IT WOULDNT START SO ITURNED THE KEY OFF AND ON AND THE LIGHT WENT AWAY AND ANY TIME AFTER THAT EVERY TIME I WOULD NOT BE GIVING IT HEAVY THROTTLE THE BIKE WOULD BURBLE THROW THE LIGHT AND IMMEDIATLY DIE AGAIN! ANYONE KNOW WHAT MAY CAUSE THIS ISSUE! THANKS!!!

 

Injections check them and will be o.k

But before you do anythink take out the Power Commander and drive your bike to see if the problem continues....

 

Caps lock....it's to the left of the letter a

 

 

Check the vent lines under your tank if they are kinked the fuel won't flow correctly....

 

open the gas cap if you hear a presure release then you have a vapor lock symptom ... (from doing your filters and the fuel likes/vent lines)

also BTW get rid of the KN's they SUCK on 1000's i have 6 1000's in my garage and i can tell you BMC race are the best for these bikes

The K&N works fine on my bike. It was dyno tuned with the Power Commander and 2 Bros exhaust. The problem with race filters is that they let in a little more dirt so the motor won't wear as well as those with more filtering over the long haul.
