Default Melted Rectifier Connection

I recently had some electrical problems with my 1000rr 2005 and had replaced the battery of course first course of action that did not work then I replaced my stator and rectifier. Once I changed the rectifier I noticed that the connection was melted on one end but still changed the melted one with the new one but the female connection on the harness was metlted. I charge the battery and It was working fine but was not holding a charge. Im hoping I dont have to change the whole harness can some on help me please...

Sounds like you've got a lot of resistance somewhere. A friend told me about an old electrician's trick where you get a spray bottle with some water and lightly mist parts of your wiring harness and in cases of extreme resistance you'll see the water vapor/evap where you're getting that resistance. This can happen because of a pinched wire, bad soldering, or anything like that.

Your regulator/rectifier is likely fried.
