Looking for input on which CBR to buy
If you want a good deal on a Honda period go to Southern Powersports in TN. They have the cheapest prices in the Country! #1 volume dealership in the USA. My friend works for Honda dealership in NC and he got a better deal in TN than from where he works at!!!
The 1000RR is the way to go lots of power, especially for me i'm 6' tall and 155lbs. It absoutly hauls major A$$. Check out the prices @ SouthernPowersports.com it would be worth the drive!

I can vouch for Southern Powersports in TN. That is where I got my '06 this past April. Got it for a little over 8k out the door. No one around here could touch them on price. I got a lot of hate from my local Honda dealer though saying they wouldnt service my bike if I didnt get it from them. Luckily there was another dealership nearby to do the first service so not to void the warranty of doing it myself. Definately worth checking out Southern Powersports.
We are all here to help each other out.
If you still have the BMW. Repeat after me.
Honey they wouldn't give me squat on the trade in!
If you go with an 07 & don't spend the money pimping it into the tourer it will never be. You will be up by 3to 4 k already.

I've got an 06 1000RR and can vouch for the others that say once you put the time in on the bike your butt can handle quite a bit of riding in one day. I've done a number of all day rides without too much *** pain. I've also ridden a 02 VFR and thought it was a decent bikeand handled well. Doesn't have the power of the 1000RR, but is definitely more comfortable and you'll be able to carry more luggage. HRC magazine recently did an article where they outfitted a 1000RR to be touring bike by adding riser bars and saddle bags. So you could definitely get the best of both worlds if you're not going to have a passenger.
revsperformence makes a rar rack that will hold a tail bag, i have even been told it will hold a givi monokey universal rack and top case? i am checking into the top case thing. i am gonna order the rack over the winter, as i use my bike to commute alot. and dont want to scratch the tail up with bungy hooks from a tail bag. i would like to have a hard top case i could use for road trips. a riding buddy of mine fitted a top case to his gsxr 1k from jc whittney using a revs performence rack. i figure it should work on the 1krr as well? check out www.revsperformance.com for the racks and tail bags.
