Thanks

As long as the frame is in good shape, looks like a good buy at either price. Most of what needs repairing is either cosmetic or easily replaced (like fairing stay, clip-ons, etc). Check the forks, see if they're bent at all. That'll be the most expensive individual thing to replace (if you don't add up the plastics).
Some other parts might not need replacing but not look perfect, either. Like if there are scrapes on the swing arm. Shouldn't affect functionality but will look crappy.
Worst case scenario, they waste some gas driving out there. I would buy it for around that price depending on condition (but then again I could use a stunt / track bike, lol).

Good advice/comments from Aken.
From what I can see in the vid, it looks easily repairable. As mentioned, the forks would be the main concern. However, F4i forks are plentiful & relatively inexpensive. More than likely need a new front fairing stay, front fairing, headlights, front fender. If you don't mind rough cosmetics, the rest looks still serviceable.
If that bike was in my AO, & assuming its GTG mechanically, I would prob buy it.

For what my two cents are worth I would agree with the others and say go for it. I mean if you were able to get it for $1,000 and even have to put another $1,000 into it at the high end you could have yourself a nice bike for well under what you are going to find anywhere for an 06. Hell, out here in San Diego guys are still asking 4-5K for an 01 with 30k miles on it.
