Default Hydraulic Clutch

My 2007 CBR1000 has a hydraulic clutch but I see the new bikes have a cabled clutch. Why did they get away for the hydraulic?

Better "feel", cheaper, lighter, less complicated, and easier to work on. Alot of professional racers convert a stock/factory hydraulic clutch to a cable clutch.

Any benefits of the hydraulic clutch? I imagined that the hydraulic is better for the street - to reduce hand fatigue to reduce squeeze strength requirement.

My bike just had the fluid replaced and I haven't ridden her yet, so I don't have any practical experience with hydraulic clutches....except the Hayabusa clutch. That was like butter.

When I was 17 I got a brand new leftover Honda 84 V65 Sabre. It had a hydraulic clutch. I loved the way it felt when squeezed.

Benefit is the ease of the pull.

I converted my cable to hydraulic FWIW...
