ok i finally got my BMC air filter for my bike but i don't know exactly how to put them on. is there a specific way to do it. And does it really make a difference to have the BMC instead of the K&N!if so what is it? (horse power)(sound affect)?

it is very easy to install. you have to remove the tank cover, and other plastic around the tank...if you have your manual...follow the instructions. you will have to lift the actual gas tank....be carefull not to pull any gas hoses nor get pinch when you put down the gas tank.....also once you lift the gas tank...you will see the air box....remove the screws just to remove the cap/lid......be very careful...there is a sensor ((i think is a gree plug or gray plug )). the stock filtersm can only go in one way, once you pull them out...you will see.

there is little difernce with after marker fillters. you can get from 3-5 horsepower....but there is also a bigger risk on getting something to your engine.....heavier dust or debri.

its more like about 2 hp really from BMC race filters and no one has ever ever reported that this filter has ever let anything into their engine

throw everything from the stock filters away
they have a plastic ring on the bottom of them for sound reason supposedly

there are some foam stick ons that come with the BMCs you can put those on if you want they just kinda help with sealing

i am pretty **** so i make sure the BMC lettering is facing the same way but other than that just stick em in
