Does VIN tell if its a 1000rr?

Default Does VIN tell if its a 1000rr?
Does the VIN have this as part of the code by chance? Also, besides the body, is there a sure fire way to know if the bike is a 1000rr or 600rr, etc? I just want to be sure at a bike Im looking to purchase. Thanks!

im gonna say probably yes, cars work that way... i bet theres someplace online you can find that info

The VIN sticker will say what size the bike is, what year it is, etc. Also, there should be another sticker under the seat that will tell you.

If you Google "motorcycle VIN numbers" there are sites that will tell you what it is.
