Datatool DiGi gear indicator HELP
Does anyone have any technical info for troubleshooting these devices?
After my stator went bad a while back i have not been able to re-program my DiGi. I got rid of the crimp connectors and solderd all of the connection. Still no joy. I get the flashing "P" when i turn on the ingnition. not the "0" i should. and when i hold the program wire to ground "5 min +" it does nothing still flashes "P". and when i brush the program wire to ground to teach it how manny gears i have it just flashes to 1 then 0 then back to P. over and over again. verry frustraiting. any advice. I'm about to ****-can it. 04 1000RR

RE: Datatool DiGi gear indicator HELP
i am not going to lie i dont know anything about the unit itself, but what i do know is programming remote starts in a car, I had an alarm/starter malfunction, so to reset the unit I took out the "brian" module and "shorted" out the power comection pins,
to do this i completely disconnected it, took itout of the car and on the power plug side i used a small wire to touch each connection pin together at he same timethis "shorts" out each capacitor inside draining the unit power competely like new, then you could reprogramm from the beggining. works fine to reset a remote starter, (just make sure you know how to reprogram the unit.)
