Default DiGi Gear Indicator help...

Do you really need to remove the upper fairings to pull the dash out? Are the wires I need accessible somewhere else? I took a quick look today and saw 2 wire packs running behind the dash. Which one will have the wires I need....

Power
Ground
Tach
Speedo
Neutral switch

I guess at $100 it's not a total waste... but I could sure find something better to spend that cash on. You seriously don't need it. Learning your bike is part of what makes you a better rider. Adding this thingy is only gonna make you a more lazy rider. Lord knows we don't need anymore of those.

In any case, yes, you'll need to remove every piece of plastic on the bike to get behind the cluster. It's not a big deal really, can be done in 6 minutes if you have your front signal wires fitted with electrical connectors.

$80

I dunno, i kinda look at it as helping me learn my bike. I can see a speed and an rpm and know what gear I'm in so that I can tune my ear to the bike. Look at it less and less as i learn.

I'm definately not a lazy rider, nor do I plan to be.

Anyway, thanks for lettin me know. If I gotta take it all off, I'll just wait till next weekend when my HID kit gets here.
