Custom CBR1000RR/TRX400 doesn't start - help or refer me to someone who can, please
A little bit off topic but I just got a TRX400/CBR1000RR hybrid (a slightly modified and built 2005 CBR1000RR in a TRX400 custom chassis) that refuses to start. It ran fine yesterday, but not today. Here is where I am with my trouble shooting:
- I have fuel in the fuel rails and they are under pressure.
- I have spark
- I have no injector pulse
- Starter turns over fine, ignition powers up too.
- I have vaccum
- No combustions whatsoever except for a small pop once in a long while.
- Checked the tilt sensor fuse - works, and I can verify that the tilt sensor is not shutting down my fuel pump. Removed fuse shuts down fuel pump.
- Engine stop switch works - shuts down fuel pump etc. (is there another relay here that shuts down the injectors that could have gone bad?)
- I have not checked the ECU codes - how do I do that? which connector do I jump?
- I might have used bad fuel, so I emptied the tank and the fuel rail, new fuel - still no go with new fuel.
- I think the injectors are all down, for some reason. Don't know how to fix this...
- Can a bad camshaft sensor shut down the injectors?
Thanks in advance,
Anders
Since it is a complete custom, the manuals are a little bit useless. BTW anyone tried this type of machine... 390 pounds, 150++hp, and a lot of surface area for traction (two wide wheels, instead of one narrow surface...) - crazy...
