Default RE: chain lube

Whether it is PJ1 Blue Label or Maxima Chain wax, I first clean the chain with some wd-40 or such, dry it and then with the bike on the swingarm stand I start it and put it in gear allowing the rear wheel to spin, then I take a piece of cardboard or a brown paper bag folded up and shoot the chain inside the rollers using the cardboard as a shield in between the wheel and the chain ( I am spraying forward of the rear axle, under the swingarm, directly on ther inside of the chain) the rotation of the wheel brings the lube onto the rear sprocket and I can minimize the overspray. Afterwards I put it in nuetral and let it sit for a few minutes so the lube can solidify, then restart the bike, put it in gear and run the bike at a higher RPM to fling off any excess that might come off. When I stop it I then can clean any overspray that flung off if any...and any more that might come off on the road will be minimal
