i noticed a a buzzing/whining noise coming from my bike(08 CBR 1000RR). i would hear it in second gear upon acclerating but now all of the sudden i hear it all the time especially when deccelerating. the bike still has the same performance just this noise, it doesn't sound detrimental but it wasn't there all the time before. just wanted to hear some thoughts on what it might be. also i received a notice for a recalled clutch could that be it?

how many miles are on the bike?

how does you chain look? is it lubed properly? Make sure its not too tight.

 

i have close to 10 grand on the bike and the chain is well lubed. i noticed that the noise comes from the left side of the engine, im guessing the stator, at idle so its engine related but its a lot more noticeable when slowing down and down shifting. its a high pitch whine like a remote control cars motor.
