Dunno if its just me, but at about 4500-5k, the motor makes like a annoying buzzing noise..now is that a flaw of some sort or??..and can it sumhow be eliminated?. thanks btw its an 06 cbr 600rr

 

I have an 06 600RR too and I have noticed the same sound. I have about 2,500 miles on my bike. I didn't notice this until about 2,000 miles. I would be very interested to hear more about this.

 

i have an 06 also. i will listen to it at 4k-5k on my way home from work today.....i'll let you guys know if i hear it.

 

My 06 does it too
It comes from under the tank cover at the air box.
Put your hand on the indentation between the gas cap and the triple tree & it will stop.
I've read you can use foam weather strip or felt (the kind with sticky stuff on one side) on top ot the air box to make it quite down.
It's annoying isn' it?

Happened to me from the first day i had it.

 

I'VE HAD THE SAME NOISE...IT COMES AND GOES I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS MY KEYS...I SEE NOW IT COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE.

 

i get it too, but i know where its from, the pig spotter mirrors i instaled. i am going to make a rubber grommet to go between them and the front plastic.

 

Found the source on my 5k buzzing noise when I was installing my PC3
here are pics of where it is rubbing under the tank cover.
I'll have to put some thin padding or foam there when I go back together tomorrow
