Kameleon, your over in Iraq serving your country, if you want to reward yourself by getting a 08 CBR 1000RR then go for it. It's a great bike. I know, I have one.. And I don't feel like Im "holding on to a rocket" all the time..The bike is smooth and well engineered. It has more than enough power but that doesn't mean you have to run it like your doing laps at your local track.

Hey bro, I'm in Alasad too right now, and I started and still have my 02 F4i. I'm in the same boat, I rode it for about a year and a half, and decided to upgrade to the 1k RR. Sucks tho, I bought it a month ago, and still have a month and a half til I go on leave and can ride it. Im having a hard time finding the right undertail that I want..

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation has a new military sportbike rider course: https://online.msf-usa.org/Perspecti...w%3d%3d&lbk=ar

It's supposed to be very different from the previous MSF courses which were not well suited to sportbikes.
