Default Buying a 1000rr, what to look for?

Im sure this is pretty generic but specific to the 1000rr (2006 and 2007 specifically), any things to look out for when buying used?

Thanks guys!

Also one of the guys had ebay fairings which actually look good, but I didnt test to see how mechanically sturdy they are or whatnot, any comments on checking those out as well? Gracias

Roach ... I took the liberty and looked through a few of your posts. IMO .. I would not suggest you buy 1000rr. I'm "assuming" you haven't been on the streets! Don't think for a moment that a 600 is too small of a bike. Both can kill you!!
my 2 cents ... find a used 600 for about $2000 and ride it until the wheels fall off! Then think about moving up to a bigger bike. The biggest difference is throttle response. Hit a bump with a 600 ... not so much. Hit a bunch with a 1000 ... stand up on one wheel!! And it's not fun unless you meant to do it!!!!
Good luck.

LOL, actually it's still fun b/c you get bucked around. I agree though, 600's are great for street. even track there fast as hell !!

Yeh my thing is, the price diff is so minimal on the 600 to the 1000, and the 1000s all seem to be in better shape here in south fla. And there are no $2000 600s, at least not from 2004+ :/

If you know what, get it. Cbr 1000rr have a very smooth power delivery so they are not irratic and generally very smooth for such a high performance machine. Just be careful with that throttle when you get to higher rpms and do not ride above your level.
Its all how you twist the throttle. Be safe and have fun, you can get in just as much trouble on a 600 keep a good head while you ride.
Respect the bike and it will respect you.
