Default After market exhausts.... can they damage the blade ?

I have seen a very nice, low miles example of an RR6 with an aftermarket exhaust fitted (original included in the sale), but i don't think it's fitted with a power commander.... i thought i had read somewhere that just fitting an end can could possibly damage the blades engine over a period of time ???? Is there any truth in this ?

Thanks.

its only if you have the full exhaust on the bike than it can do some damage to it. but just a can wont require you to enrichen the fuel. hope it helps

Top,
Thanks for that, i am pretty sure it's not the full system, just the can. I will change back to the original anyway as i think they look better than virtually all after market cans on the RR6/RR7.
Thanks again.

even a full system wont hurt the engine, just require retuning for the improved flow.

And you are a rare one liking the looks of the stock exhaust over a aftermarket lol

I am really surprised by that, i think the stock twin pipes looks really good, and very inkeeping with the whole back end, most after market round cans simply look..... added on, they look cumbersome and out of place, i have yet to see one that i think enhances the overall look of the bike.
