thank you now I have to tackle why the temperature jumps 10 degree when I put on the high beams........

Temp jumps from high beam? Sounds more like an electrical issue then an actual temp jump.... if you have an IR laser thermometer, let the bike get up to temp, shoot the laser at the rad, see what the temp is, then put high beam on and see if temp actually jumps... if not, suspect some type of electrical issue leading to error on the temp gauge?
