Just curious,will a 200 rear tire fit on a stock 1000

Look at the rim size. I know a 180 works. Do not think the rim is wide enough.

 

i woudl stay with the correct width....you can vary the aspect ratio slightly...i think some track riders use a taller 55 series, but the 190 width should stay like it is

 

don't they use 200 slicks @ the track ?

Yes it will fit without any mods. That being said if you use your bike for a lot of track or canyon riding obviously this would not be a good idea, but for regular street riding you'll be just fine and it also looks good IMO.

 

Most track bikes (AMA Superbike etc) have 16.5 inch racing rims. In Superstock they run stock rims and 190/55 or 190/60 tires in a variety of profiles and compounds.

 

i had a 200 on my 929, fit perfect, handeled a little different but got used to it pretty quick, i'm pretty sure it'll fit on the 1000

 

Yeah zexy1thousandrr that's what i've got now,but i'm gonna upgrade to the 1000.i like the way the 200 looks on my 929
