Default Strange rear light problem, also PICS of aftermarket rear

Recently Ive been having some weird problems with my rear taillight.

First I should start off by saying this is an aftermarket rear taillight piece. I have not found another f4i or bike with the same rear end as mine. Can anybody identify by these pictures:

yes bike is dirty I know

The main problem is with my right rear brake light.

NOW, there are 2 conditions it operates in:

1. Both brake lights are on, when braking only left brake lift turns on.

2. Only left brake light is on, when braking both lights are on.

For 2 weeks it was running in the second condition, now its been running in the 1st condition for about 3 weeks.
What could be the problem?

Here are some pics of the inside:

Something is wired wrong to put it simply, but it almost looks like it uses factory wiring? Not being able to look at the bike in person is a severe hinderance when it comes to modified electrical.

Could be something simple like one of the lights isn't grounded. Is there a license plate light? I dont think I see one so I'm curious where those wires went.

If your lights arent working right quit riding it. Just bad for both you and the bike.

could be intermittent because of a short or bad solder. im not familiar with the factory connectors for turn signals and brake light since most of mine are spliced in.
try wiggling the wires around all over their length with the brake off and then on, that will hopefully point to a short.
looking at a harness diagram it seems like its just one connecter that plugs into the tailight

Usually when having electrical problems, the best place to start is to examine and thoroughly clean connections. Even a small amount of dirt or dust and interrupt the current's flow. And like RudyGT said, a bad solder can can be a headache as well.
