Default New F4 owner, rear light problem

Hey guys, I'm just about to take my Mod 2 test and had a '99 CBR 600 F4 delivered on Wednesday.

As with all new owners i suspect, I was sat on the bike drilling my routines into my head for my test when my mate pointed out my rear brake light wasn't working. Same with the running light when the headlights are on.

To get it fixed it would mean my first ride is a 25 mile journey into a busy city without an operational brake and tail light so im hoping I can get a temporary fix to take it there with. I've attached a few pics showing the state of the wiring to see if anyone has any idea's.

The rear indicators, front light, horn, stand light etc all work as normal so im assuming it isn't a fuse issue as i believe a few of these are on the same loop?

Cheers in advance

A friend fixed this with a multimeter, turns out the green wire, which was the constant for the rear running light, had the connector crimped onto the insulation, so its probably never worked. Replaced the connector and everything works fine.

Great too see so many members solving their own problems! Glad you sorted it out between you and your friend!
