Thats a great price! I also got the honda 4 year warranty, I'm a bit nervous about the oil burning issue, but i'm crossing my fingers that I don't have to worry about it.

Good job and nice ride. Be safe and post more pics when you get a chance. Here is my deal for today.
The dealer where I bought my VFR last year has 4 red '08s left @ $7,500.00. One hour south, a dealer has a LE black with 700 miles (never titled) $7,499.00. I took my CB919 in to have a chain and sprockets put on last Friday. Drove my 1000F over to drop it off and pick up the 919 and decided today was the day. Talked to the manager and he quotes $8,164.00 OTD for the yellow. Black, red or wine = $8,400.00 OTD. Basically $405.00 more does not make sense. I look at him and say, "I have tried to buy bikes here since 1980. Is that the best you can do? I am ready to pay for it right here and now." 'Yep, that's it. I wnat your business but I can not give it away. So be it. Time for me to do some driving and see what I can find.

$7395 PLUS FREIGHT

No telling how much they'll charge for that. I ran into the same thing around my area. Local Honda dealers advertised very low prices on 08 CBR1000RR's but by the time they added in things like shipping, setup, etc., the price was over $8k.

I got tired of all their BS and contacted Southern Honda Powersports in Chattanooga, TN. They had a listed price of $7283 and a $99 admin fee and that was it. The price also included a free lifetime engine warranty to the original owner. I drove 950 miles RT earlier this month and bought one from them.

Thanks for the link. That's bout 200 miles south west of me. That may be worth the drive for a bike. Here in swmo they want $8200 for one and they only got one left. And it's silver. I really don't like the color, but the silver and red looks nice! I'm just waiting on my tax returns to pick one up. What colors the got in stock and how many?

a FREE lifetime ENGINE WARRANTY kicks ***! that is spankin. ihope you never need it but i had the very first engine failure on the 08. they rebuilt the entire bottom end on mine. and yes i bought the extended warraty but this was at like 3k miles so still under initial warranty.
