This makes me a little sick too.... I bought mine in February for a steal.. it was the same price Southern was offering then , 10,300 OTD.. how does it drop 3 k in value? insane, but I had a lot of fun since then so I will live with it.

Honda knows how to kick their favorite customers right in the junk with the price cuts... where is our rebate check?

you got a good deal! I live in Newport and had to drive to Connecticut to get mine. 7500 OTD! I was looking for a zx10r but couldnt pass that up. Consumer news is stating that the major manufacturers already limited production for 09 due to the economy, so it may be the best deal that you can get on a Honda for awhile.. Enjoy the new 1k.

I feel for you guys.....put it this way....you will only feel it if you are selling today....you f*&(!ed......if not, you should be fine.....watch the price normalize as the # of 08 units shrink......your old supply and demand rule goes in effect.....trust me...they've slashed the # of 2010 units bigtime..

I just called a local dealer in NY and they said they are sold out of 1000rr's and they cannot get any more 08 or 09's. He also said that he cannot even order the 10's yet but he did hear that they were drastically cutting production. He did not know how much they were cutting though. He said there are a couple left in PA and Ohio but dealers are unwilling to trade them.

I didnt tell him I already owned one. I pretended like I really was serious and I wanted one asap.

I am trying to sell mine but after hearing that I am going to save it till spring. That way supply will be down and hopefully I can get more money.

Any one know the actual production numbers?

I picked up the 08 CBR this past Saturday in the rain from Southern for $6,983. When I called my sales guy on Monday he said the price had went up $300, they are now listed as $7,283 on their website.

I got the same color. Candy red, silver & yellow were the only available colors in my area. Looks much better in person than in pictures. Like your trailer. I've got to add a wheel chock <like yours> to my single rail to reduce tongue weight and better balance the load. I plan on trailering the CBR more often , metro Detroit has no interesting roads; unless you consider dodging potholes the equivilent to riding the "twisties".
