Just like the title says will a engine out of a 93 1000f fit in my 87 1000...only reason is there is one for sale pretty close to me that I may be able to get a good deal on and its good to have a spare....especially if the spare has 35000 less miles on it....

I think it should fit. There were, a far as I know, no differencesin the engine from first gen to third gen 1000f's. The carbs are differet, though, I believe.

 

the engine is the same but i think the alternator wont plug in to your wiring

 

I have the wiring diagrams if you need them.....
