Default Where to Start?

As a few of you's know, I got a nice CBR1000f just over a week ago, and then crashed it, so i was going to do a rebuild anyway, but not this quick! where did you start and what was the down fall you found? I know a strip down will be first but after that, dont know what next! any suggestions?

I would say the biggest issue I ran into was organization. The tear down is easy and fast. You really need to label everything in order to get the right bolts back in the right places. Good luck. Make a build thread.

I have 100 food bags for bolts and a different pens to mark parts and label up. and storage boxes, and will try and have parts that are in the same area together. but its the first build I have done, but its no different to other things that was taken apart by me. will do a re-build thread and loads of pics.

Take pics of things as you take them apart for reference. It may seem like stupid, obvious stuff now, but months from now you wont remember where everything went.

After you get it torn down a bit, check for damage that may be hidden. Cracks in the frame, chunks taken out of the motor, etc. You would hate to buy a bunch of parts, spent tons of time, and get most of the way back together just to find out the motor or frame is junk.

Good luck!
