What have you done to your CBR 1000f today?

Had a fantastic ride to a semi-local biker/burger joint.
So I owe Jules an apology. I remember in the thread about hints for new riders she said to check your tires, so I thought to myself, "Wouldn't that be obvious?" Well, NO! They look the same, riding or sitting, whether they have 42 pounds or 14 pounds in them, but they FEEL completely different. I'm an idiot.
Bike tires apparently lose air at a prodigious rate, especially compared to car tires. Both bikes went from ho-hum to fire-breathers in about 3 minutes.

What's up with you guys and inspection? is that a state requirement? i dont need to get anything inspected in WI, just register it and ride.
(seems kinda crazy, doesn't it?)
But yeah, here in PA we need to inspect. They don't check it like they do cars, tho.
I actually think that of all the crazy laws we have.... moto inspections seems like a sane one. At least once a year idiots are required to have their bikes in running order...
(I've seen some death traps)

i only first needed insurance as of june 1st...but i always had it anyway. i dont think its safe to go without it.
got my wideband mounted and finished wiring it. also finished aligning the rear wheel and tensioning the chain. you guys are going to hate where i mounted the wideband and how i did it, but i dont know many other places where it could go and i think it looks good where it is. just you guys wait.

I took my son out today for a semi local ride for lunch at a country pub on the NSW/Vic border. It was a 450 km round trip. Another mate on a CB 1300 and one on a Hayabusa came to. A great day had by all. At 10 my son is a great little pillion. Please excuse the poor quality photos. I only had my phone with me and I still managed to get my finger in the way !!!!!

painted the gas tank and made sure the tank vent was clear, good to go. tied up all the wiring for the wideband so it doesnt move all over the place. put the carbs back on the bike with new jets (pilots: 42, mains: 145), hopefully those will put me where i want to be or ill have to try another of the sets i bought which isnt that big of a deal. also started to bleed the brakes since the rear reservoir was completely 100% bone dry. found a good sized leak, but all it took was a little tightening and its good. ran out of time so i had to stop since i have a funeral to go to this afternoon.
things left to do: reassemble gas tank and install, bleed the brakes, warm the bike up and let it cool a few times to bake the header paint on nicely. then its time to ride. who's got two thumbs and is starting to get very excited? this guy.
