Got two of three Hurricanes "awake" yesterday but my 87 being the cold blooded
Beeeeatch that she is sucked the battery to it's knees going back out there in a
few to throw some blarney at it and might even give her a shot is the azz with some
ether if she still won't play nice then I'm going to take here out since the ice has
finally melted enough to be able to get out and she's going to get a spanking for all
this aggro !

Yep, had our fair share this season. Now it's Autumn it will be interesting to see if we get those late storms combined with a hot spell.
And to get back on-topic. I polished the '91 today with Mr Sheen - came up a very shiny treat!
Cheers, SB

going back on the road post storage
Today we (mechanic and I) had to clean the carbs as there was fuel leak from the carbs after storage of the bike for long. Got a new battery and the bike started right up. After running and a few revs , reg rec was quite hot and some wires leading to it seemed singed. Mech suggests i need a new reg rectifier before i hit the road . Bike not over heating though. Thats what i did to my CBR today.

Continuation!
So i look for an alternative cause of my problems apart from a fried reg rec by calling up on my pal who had a CBR and sold it. He reckons i should not change anything before confirming what the problem actually is. So i check the wires for a short circuit, and on disconnecting the reg rec from its connector, i find that one of the connections was bad and black . we remove the gunk , CBR OK...service tomorrow and riding!!
