Yes it does! I have an CB500T that I bought from a friend rather than remove it from deep storage in my shed Was worth what I paid him for me NOT to have to dig it out.

It's on the slow burner, but I now have most of the bits to make it nice again.

Cheers, SB

Good luck with that, the 500 twin was a beautiful bike. I don't mind picking up those old Hondas if I can fix em on the cheap, they're going for big money now with hipsters buyin them up.

Thumbs up Downtime

Hi,

Well the old girl ('93 CBR1000F) has had some downtime this week.

New tyres fitted, stayed with Road Pilots as they feel good on her.
Rear fairing mounting points solder melted due to cracking, first time I have tried this and very pleased with the result.
Link pipes to collector box re-worked as my link pipes are non standard.
Right hand grip removed and to be refitted as it had worked loose, due to heavy right hand.
Wash and clean tomorrow ready for the long weekend.

Stay safe

Smile Road prep

New set of Mich PR2's, Fresh Mobil 1 and filter, and new set of iridium plugs for good measure. Will point her west next week and stop when I get to the Oregon coast.

Free couch/tent space if you're passing through Chicago. Not to mention free beer... you'd be staying at the famed Hohman Brewery!

I got my regulator put on today after a couple stupid mistakes I went to hook it up yesterday but forgot to disconnect the battery so I popped my 30 amp fuse and fried the connector there too. I cleaned everything up and redid the wiring and she fired right up! Runs better now too, idles smoother and the headlight doesn't dim when I get off the revs. I've got 12-13v around idle to 2000 rpms and 14ish around 4-5k. I hope to install my voltmeter tomorrow so I can keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the offer but plan to cover a little more ground before first stop.

Just finished the footpeg lowering bracket mod. Haven't had a chance to go for a ride yet but in the garage it feels better than stock. A little bit of Dremel here and there got them looking and feeling pretty good.
