Ha! Was just looking for a video for a sales pitch for the ROTM (what me take it seriously ) and I came across a video of the other CBR1000F we just bought for Mrs SB's son.

HONDA CBR1000F - YouTube

Hope it runs and looks as good in the flesh!

Cheers, SB

Hey SB, so you bought it from CBRSIXPACK, forum member. Did you get the solo seat fixture? He did a great job in fabricating them.

Boy, I'd love to get one of those solo seat cowls! Don't know if it would work on aftermarket seat though....

Did nothing to my CBR1000F but helped a friend rebuild this restored 1983 VF750 Interceptor....

Today put motor into frame and installed re-chromed and reconditioned forks. Completed rewire. To Do - Finish rebuild, sync carbs and polish...

These were very fast, high tech bikes for their day.

A days work - Back feels stiff as hell, body feels bruised, legs are sore ...... this work is very satisfying but the body isn't as flexible as it used to be. Time for a beer and a feed....

Hope you like the pics..

Very nice indeed Naga. They do not appear to be the original pipes though - referencing the top photo. But I like that they are the same colour as the wheels.

Quite right SB, if you look closely you'll also see that the R/R is aftermarket too. They had the same issue as our CBR1000Fs.

Back lunchtime yesterday with Knackies 'new' bike.

Mrs SB, Oscar the Wonder Dog and I made the trek to (a bloody cold and wet) Daylesford in Victoria - about a 1400km or so round trip to collect the bike.

Met forum member CBRSixpack who was selling the bike which is obviously loved and greatly cared for - it is in fantastic condition.

Monday - a public holiday here - we have the local constabulary coming around to verify its provenance, then registration next week.

I think I may just have to go on a little test ride before it is handed over

Cheers, SB

That's a ripping great bike there Guys - and she's CBRForum certified -
by way of being a previous ROTM winner - now there'll two of those in
the Family as of yesterday it would seem - Congrats Seb

Looking forward to the "test" report

1400kms - now that makes me feel less nutty for chasing down a bike
or two I went after ! - lol
