I know that the Viffer bars from the 5th generation fit the 1Kf, but are any other modification needed? So far, I've cut back on the throttle tube (will just replace it with a correct VFR tube and grip) and unbolted one of the brake line holders so I could pull the line up an extra inch. Will I need new throttle cables (and if so, how long) and will the clutch line need to be messed with?

 

I have read some about this conversion, and as far as I know you should be able to fit the VFR clip-ons without any modifications.

 

I know the clutch line is long enough. I'm still waiting on getting the VFR throttle tube in (mine was bent) to see of the cables are long enough. Also, there are locating pins that match up with spots on the upper tree for the origianl bars. HOWEVER, the VFR bars are in the wrong spot, so I just flipped the bars to the other side rather than grind the bars.

I believe the clip ons need to be 41 mm (CBR1000f and VFR 98-01).
