TYRES
Well I took my 92 for a run today did around 150 Kls as she has been sitting for 3 or so weeks just waiting for a buyer to purchase her, and for the first 20 or so I had to get used to her handling aspects again ( Her weight and ridign position ) BUT after that she really preformed ( Needed a good run ) I put a fresh tank of Premium unleaded in her and some carby clean and yes she would go close. My bird being this years model has it with the take off and excaleration say up to say 200, but the 1000 gets there fast too and around 230 odd the bird would take control again and of course bet the 1000 F I am sure of that, also both being stock too. To sum it up you know how fast you are doing on the 92 but the bird you dot realise untill you are past 200 of how fast it really is. I really enjoyed the 1000 today and if I wasnt lucky enough to purchase a new Bird I would have stayed with the old girl. The only problem today was my poor wrsits **** they were sore the old vibration around 5 grand mark the bird doesnt have that at all pluc she has cruise too. So dont think the CBR is no slouch I think and many others too that the old CBRs are and were one of the best bikes around, and I am lucky enough to have one of each.
Hahah she still loves it !! We did a trip at X Mass time we left Gladstone Queensland and went to the blue mountains in NSW and back never once did the 92 fault she just kept on going and going a damb reliable bike and we had a lot of luggage as well. Havnt had the bird on a big trip yet so cant comment just littel day trips of 500 Kls.
Took my bird for a run today up to Rockhampton its about a 230 Kls round trip and did the speed thing 100 Ks @ 3200 RPM 121 Ks @ 4000 RPM 147 Ks @ 5000 and 205 @ 6700 RPM these were two up
