TYRES
A 87 and a 88 only have a narrow rims. I got mytyres fromTYRES FOR BIKES at Albion they did a good deal and good to talk to. Mt Glorious and Brisbane valley high wayis a good test and ride but not with the girl on the back. She doesn't seem to like full noise like me. The bike seems to handle good with the tall tyres on it, I had a 120 on the front before and 110 is better. I don't know how the rear would go with the150 my had a 140/ 60 on it and 140/ 80 is better. It will still spin off the lights.

I did 860k on the weekend 2up and a load of gear the tyres work well in fast turns. Where i think they were better than the Michelin'si had on before was in tight turns the bike seems to lay over more. The bike still has a head shake at 70k when i let go of the bars and a shimmy when i lay right down to the right? It seems to have plenty of grip which i found out with a hard brake stop when a kangaroo wonted my piece of road. The misses **** her self as it went past her left peg. Hopefully i will get at least 8000k out of them.Travailing backup through Mt Mee there was the regular bike crash at the top on the Daguilar side thay seem to hit the bank in the first turn whitch is not as tight as the next turn.

Is thehead shakeinitiated by acceleration, decel or when just rolling?
There should be no headshake from new tyres (but can be on old tyres)so it seems to be a chassis issue.
What do you mean by shimmy, we dont use that word here.
Is it vibrations in the grips coming from the front tyre?
Could the front wheel have been notproperly balanced?
Head shack in top gear just rolling along when i let go of the bars. I just touch the grips and it goes away. The shimmy is like the side wall is warn and feathered up. I don't think it is balancei have run up as high as 190k with out a shake. WAS57 i think these bikes like to run alongat 120 on the open road it is like they are on cruse control. I have aslight out of round in my right disk if i put my finger on the pad and turn the wheel i can just feelit. Cannot feel it under brakes maby this is the fault.
