Default Tyres

A while ago now, when my bird had done 7,000 Ks the back tyre was practically bald so went on the hunt for tyres. THe bird came out with BT 57 and I didnt want those on again as I used to get up to 14,500 Kls on my 1000.

I used to run Pilot Roads and Bridgstone BT 020 on my CBR 1000 F but found the Bridgstone has made a upgrade to the BT 020 called a BT 021 it has a harder centre and softer sides so I went with that and its a nice tyre it has now approx 7,000 Kls and has shown no signs of thetell tale flat spot in the centre. I have now just replaced the front BT 57 witht he BT 021 and she is a whole new bike tracks straig as and feels very confident into and through the corners, plus it has taken out my annoying shake in th efront end it came on when you would slow down and sit up and of course let go of the bars. Now she just gluides. I also placed Nitrogen in the tyres and t works for me.

Default RE: Tyres

I'm exactly the same, always used BT020s. I've found that I get almost 4000 from a rear, though most of my riding is commuting, dare say I'd get through them a lot faster if I just went out for weekend blatts. Yeah, I'm gonna try the 021s next time, I've read good things about them. Nitrogen? not heard that one, wouldn't helium be lighter?[:-]
