2002 vs. 2003
It was my understanding that 2002 models were silver only, and '03's were black only. Can anyone shed light on this? I'm looking at a silver bike advertised as an '03, totally stock asking $7800 with 26,000 km and only 1 hour away. The competition is a 2002 in with 36,000 km, for $5500, but has undertail, integrated signals and a D&D pipe. It's 1000 km away. I would pay cash either way.
What would YOU do?

Frankly if I were you, I'll get the '03 which cost $7800 (26 000km). Basically, you have a newer and a less travelled/less wearbike. ALthough you may be entice with all the accessories, it's quite a challenge to transport from 1000km away.

RE: 2002 vs. 2003
I've seen photos, it looks as stock as any other new silver XX. I went into the city today to look and discovered the guy I was dealing with is NOT the actual owner, who again slipped out of town for 10 days without notifying the sales rep, who doesn't have a key for the garage the bike is in..blah blah,....
After telling me he'd email before Tuesday with a time, call at a certain # (was not there......)and a 3 hour round trip for nothing, he can keep it. I'd tell him where to keep it , too, but the new owner would have to wash it carefully........
