hey got an ek530 cut it just a little too short need to put a peice of chain back in and double masterlink it

how stupid is this idea?

how weak is this?

I would think that a properly installed "press fit" master link (not a clip) would be just as strong as any other link.

I agree, as long as riveted-type master links will be used.

thats what i was thinking too.... use two rivited master links and some of the chain i had but sales people say it might break and screw me up that and i like to floor the thing everywhere i go so im some what abusive to the chain/etc.

It's clumsy but not wrong. If two is bad then I guess one is, too.

Properly installed a master is as good as any other link. Especially riveted.
