I got top end noise on my CBR 1000F, I was adjusting the carbs when I could hear a noise coming from the top of the engine, used a screw drive to pin point it to above the second cylinder, intake side. pulled the valve cover today and check the lash, all the intake are at .004 inches and the exhaust are all at .007 expect fro cylinder #1 that has one at .0085 hardest one to do, SO left it for now. So my thought is the next possible noise maker could be the cam chain tensioner, my book tell how to replace it, but nothing on how to check it, could this be the sound I'm hearing?
