April could work for me. The wife and I went to Deals Gap/Skyway area first week of April this year. It was 32f at the top of the Skyway, 5300ft. The fog froze on our shields. This year was a cool one for the record books though.
Spring in the Smokys is great. Other thoughts are meeting at another MC event. Mid Ohio Vintage Days or Honda GP in July. MotoGP in Indy. Barber Vintage in October, Birmingham. I'm wide open. I like the idea of meeting someplace that has great roads for a group ride vs an event, but maybe we could have both.

Ya, or we could do both. I want to do the Deal's Gap thing fo sho, but I'll be going to the MotoGP again this year (wouldn't miss it). In previous years, I've gone up there w. my toy hauler/RV thang, but now that I'm retired from racing, I've sold that rig, so I'll prolly ride up there.

Well Doc, this thread has been dead for awhile. How about you turn it into a poll questionaire. Spring will be on us before ya know it.... Pick your choice of month, then place, Dragon/moto gp,other, etc.
With the a head count, popular place/time, we can get this closer to reality.
Wadda ya think?

I haven't forgotten...I was actually letting it simmer until after turkey day, but now is as good a time as any. I can tell you that if I'm organizing it, it's gonna be a trip to the smokies. I've already got plans to go to the GP, and other trips as well. I'll post up within a few days with some date choices etc. and see if we get any momentum.

Later!

That phrase has peaked my curiosity.
A while back, I may have referred to a couple of our brit buddies here as "teabag twins".... LOL..

The trophy is referring to one of them (hawkwind) who won Ride of the Month....

All up to speed now!
