Well thanks guys for the torturous replies given I know with some sympathy
Um, a 135MPH (216KPH) here would see me ran off the road by any cop that saw me at the time, once stopped I would be dragged off the bike , cuffed , prolly thumped by them quite a few times for good measure, held in jail without bail till court the next day , charged and convicted of at least these things Pete...
Speeding X 4 - 5 offenses
Dangerous driving
Driving in a manner dangerous to the public
+ a few more prolly !!
A huge fine in the order of $2000 and upwards!!Canceled licence for anywhere up to 5 yearsand with my 15 canceled licences already , I would prolly do 6 - 12 months jail time ..
Hmmm.. I might try to avoid that lot I think mate
I quite often (evey week at least) go fior a 160klm per hr - 200 klm per hr short run on the freeway here ...but not before I have travelled the WHOLE piece of road to scope it out for speed traps and hiding cops ....
BTW- the misses stopped me fitting the 3 grand kids with concrete socks and taking them for quick swim in the pool ...LOL
Did a 200 K run this morning with 4 friends - clear, sunny and warm, very few bugs. Had a great breakfast and returned about an hour back. Steve's now grinding his teeth Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I don't know if I could've stayed home with an expired disc - probably would have gone for it.................but then it'd be unlucky to be stopped unless you're speeding (which I was on occasion)
Would 135MPH (216KPH)get you arrested in Oz, Steve'o ?
I was last in the group, so fairly safe from the "Blue Heelers"

When I was only 19-20 , me and a few mates that had Kwaka 1000's used to hangout (were not members!!) just hung out with a club here called The Vigilantes... We only new them because I was a good friend of a guy who was there head mechanic and second in charge at the time...
This club had a game that they quite often played with the cops...
It was called " DO NOT BE LAST!! "
This is no BS...they would gather here in Melbourne at the Club house/ workshop and most of the time 12-20 bikes, including me and my best mate at the time, would roll out onto our Hume Hyway (a very very main arterial into and out of Melbourne...
As soon as we hit the hyway it was on,... flat tack , down the hyway we all would blast, 200-250 klms per hr in convoy , NON STOP!! ... the idea was that the cops in those days wouuld always try to catch up to you to book you in person (no radar:-) or cameras or helicopters back then :-)
anyway ... these runs would go from Melbourne to Seymour about 120klms , sometimes further if the cops were still all over us when we got their and forced us all to scatter ..LOL
and anyone at the rear Pete was inevitably going to get caught eventually...
needless to say me and my mate were NEVER at the rear and never got caught...
Allot of club guys got locked up during these little 1 - 2hr adventurers ...LOL
Yer .yer .ok I was no saint back then either

Rename you Steve
I think instead of CBRclassic, your new name should be TheClassicSaintof-Melbourne. Kind of like Knighting you in status Steve.... Of course, being Knighted may not be all that good since Elton John was "Sir-ed" and he likes men in ways that - well I will not go there!
Steve, looks like since you are on the "upside down" part of the Earth, you are headed into fall and then winter. We up here on the "rightside up" part of the Earth are headed for spring and then summer. SO, that means we are headed for smiles and you are left sweeping up our winter frowns!!! Better get your registation quickly...
I don't know what your winters are like, but I see that about 3/4s of Aussieville is desert and your championship jumping RATS are massively huge! What are your winters like Steve???? Did you take up making paper airplanes because of the winters in your area???
By the way, Cops are just State Sponsored gang members in my opinion! More freedom with gangs!

All our cities are jammed near the sea where its green and nice ...

I went for a ride yesterday 300kms, with the maintenance done and the vales ajust corrrectly the bike was purring... i was alone and went to the 347 route up north, was a bit cold , but to see the rivers full of water bcause of the snow melting with te nature waking up after a long winter was breathtaking. I usually keep a speed of 118-120kph, but on my way back home there was a lot of trafic and at one point was caught in a bunch of cars and ther was a guy in a volo tailgating everyone and being a jerk on the road, that is when i dcide to zip it up a bit push the old lady to seing ( 200kph) and just long enough to leave them behind then proceded to slow down back to my cruisinf speed, well se is in top shape lol, arriving home the blvd is a two lanes wide, changing to a one lane , at the stop this guy in an infinity g35, try to accelerate to cut me off, hello!, i just blew him off and waiting for him at the stop, he looked at me and saying i thought my car was faster then your bike, hello!
actually it was fun i paid my bike a fraction and i have way more performance than his car and on top of it, riding i listen to her and she talks and sing to me, isn't it this wonderful!

cops and robbers
they hide in bushes, under trees,
sit on their bums or on their knees
in cold and wet, they fume and fret
love catching bikers in their net
they jump around and scream and shout
you wonder what it’s all about
they get such kicks from dirty tricks
and making every summons stick
“excuse me sir, you went too fast”
to fine us gives them such a blast
they love to see surprise and shock
and drag us kicking to the dock
the prosecutor - eyes of stone
he loves his work, and lives alone
no wife can stand his shining zeal
for making all us bikers squeal
he laughs and hands us heavy fines
for riding over speeding lines
he rides the bus to work each day
and thinks he really earns his pay
the toll road sharks they love our bikes
from choppers, offroad, hogs and trikes
they too are paid a handsome fee
for what we feel should just be free
so why are we the whipping boys ?
Because we have expensive toys
or build them up from bits and scrap
our legislations full of c…ap
so is it just the open road
or is it just the biker’s code
who’ll stop to help a friend in need
it’s all about what we believe
we need to make our voices heard
and spread to all the “outside” world
we feel the need to speed at times
it really isn’t such a crime !
You’d think we robbed a bank or two
or got involved with making brew
to give us hell is what they like
we’re law abiding, off our bikes !
