benefits of a full yosh?
So my bike has a full yoshi exhaust...no idea which model, but I was wondering what the benefits would be over the stock exhaust....I love the sound of it, but Im disappointed in the loss of the center stand...maybe I can change it out someday for another exhaust? but dont want it any louder than it is now.
did this exhaust require jetting? runs fine and the plugs are fine...just have no idea what these jets are compared to stock. im assuming it was rejetted. Id there a power gain in this exhaust or was it just looks and sound? would I lose anything going back to the stock pipes?

I suppose the first question is , did you put the pipe on her ?
If you did not , chances are , anything is possible as far as what has been done to the carbs...
I like my center stand because it comes in handy when wanting to do simple stuff , like cleaning and chain oiling ect...
I am not too sure what performance increase it may provide ..
It would depend on whether she has been modded to take the pipe and if so , how well it was done...?
If she runs good and clean , chances are that she has just had them bolted on without any carb mods ..and personally I think that is the best way to have her...std as possible unless it becomes super necessary to alter carb setting because of issues cause by the pipe or (altitude , super cold or hot climate ect )
I think that if the pipe has just been bolted on with no mods , then prolly any power increase would be minimal if at all...
I recon most guys only whack a 4-1 on, because they have destroyed the stock ones some how ..
IMO I love the stock pipes once they have worn in ...the throaty roar from them and the look makes me very reluctant to change to any other..
BTW- My stock mufflers have had a rebuild at some stage and do have a deeper tone of there own ....
IMO- Pipes are just a very personal choice thing

hi guys this is my first post,
i have just ordered a set of complete pipes 4-2 in stainless from delkevic.com.au they say the down pipes are oem design so you get to keep your center stand, they supply link pipes then into your choice of stainless or titanium mufflers, i don't think i will or expecting any noticeable HP increase but more the note and look and tidy up, and all for a decent price, i havn't got them yet but i'll let you know what there like.
p,s they are going on a 94 cbr1000f with 93000k's one owner and well looked after that i picked up last month

I was just wondering...the pipe thats on mine is a full pipe headers and all...I like the sounds of it, and its actually pretty quiet at idle and below 3k...after 3k its gets a bit loud with a really nice tone to it...would prefer a little deeper, but thats ok. I was considering going back to the stock pipes and didnt know if I would see any loss going back...I just would like the center stand back...by the way, the previous owner fitted this pipe not me.

sorry for the hijacked thread swisherred,
after lots of research most after market systems promote removable baffles, i'm not sure if this will give a deeper note or not or re-jetting is required afterwards, maybe a trip to a dyno is in order and i cant see any advantage on going back after having a full yoshi i would sacrifice the stand and get a race style stand for the rear for sevices and stuff.
sixpack & classic i love the look(only from there web site so far) and it turned out to be AUS$1200 complete to my door, down pipes, two links and two cans.
more for titanium
