Portsmouth NH..............all I can say is freaking A Dude, she sounds throaty, think
I'll start calling her Linda !.

Now just waiting for my 44/16 sprockets and DID Xring Chain from SprocketCenter an'
I'll be good for the summer season. Looking forward to the new ratio's just for kicks not
too worried about he speedo being out of whack ........have a GPS mounted up.

Default I drilled 4 holes in mine...

I have been looking at getting some new slip on's. I saw this thread and have tried it. I drilled 4 holes 1 top bottem and the 2 sides. I used a 3/8" drill bit. I agree it is alittle louder between 1000-2000 rpm's. I have not noticed any more power or it being any louder at higher rpm's. My question is if i drill more holes is it going to be louder at low end and the higher end of rpm's? Thanks

Put a 5/8" bit in and widen them or just drill more.

I did 3 x 5/8" each side and they were plenty loud.

On the highway though for long runs I prefer them
stock so I screw in 5/8 hex plugs in .....best of both
worlds.......let me know if ya want a pic of what I did

We have a check called the MOT , and they check the noise level of the exhaust . I'd love to drill mine but I'm afraid they would fail it
mine were drilled on my `92 cbr1k, and they are on my `88 cbr1k, passed no probs....
