Default Starting Issues.....

At the conclusion 3 years sitting outside, after being down on the interstate, I rescued her, brought her to a loving home, new chain, tires, misc. parts and a lot of tlc, I got her living again. Haven't posted up any new pix, because I have yet to get her into the pain shop. Anyway, I've put about 800 miles on her in the last 6 weeks or so, without a single issue or hiccup bringing her grand total to 30900 miles. Rode about 50 miles Saturday and pulled her into the garage, nothing out of the ordinary. Sunday pulled her outside so I could do some service on a truck, went to pull her back in Sunday night, she won't turnover , no problem, I didn't have to replace the battery when I started with her, and knowing how finicky these bike batteries are, I assumed that was the problem. Charged the battery sunday night, went to start her monday morning, still the same thing. Had other plans, so got home Monday night, hook up the jumper cables, still the same thing. Put away the cables, disgusted, turn on the key one last time, she goes. But not. The bike starts after some cranking, but doesn't run right, if I try to open the choke it dies immediately (which she has been choke dependant when cold in the past). I can sometimes rev to about 2000 rpm, if I get lucky before she dies. Also, she has failed to turnover again at times when attempting a start, but if I hit the button again she will go. I tried searching through the forum earlier today, but my new job doesn't leave me nearly enough time for jacking around on the internet, and I know from my experience here, that is most likely someone else here that has had the same thing happen. Please, I'm begging, help me!!! Thanks in advance.

Replace the battery if it's old - this you know. Charging a battery won't help if it's tired. Will also cause most of the problems you describe
Hard to tell without listening to it.
Dirt in the carbs.......not likely
Water in your gas, or a blocked filter.....
Could be a hole in the vacuum hose -

I would also look at the kill switch or kickstand switches...I had a similar issue with mine when I first got it that turned out to be corrosion in the kill switch.
