Starter button won't work

Turns out I am the proud owner of 3 bad starter switches. After tracing everything I finally cut a switch apart, crossed the wires and presto she was off. Now the hunt begins for a "good" switch.

Wow, here's your chance to put a secret starter switch somewhere else on your bike. Any spring-loaded switch should work.

I agree with the other answers. You need an ohm meter and check all the switches the starter circuit goes thru. I had a simular problem and just started pulling things apart and followed the colored wires. Using an ohm meter I traced the entire circuit out. Turns out it was corrosion on the battery terminal that I didn't see until I removed the cable from the battery. Good Luck
